Douglas ward
Douglas Ward is a freelance sound engineer and web developer currently based in Berlin. Having climbed his first mountain at an age of just 6 months, he has a huge passion for anything involving the outdoors and adventure. Doug is keen runner, cyclist, climber and kayaker. He is conscious of how important the wild is, especially in childhood, and interested in the role of free play in development

Claire Plowman
Claire is a qualified mathematics teacher and outdoor instructor. She has a mountain leadership certificate and teaches climbing and kayaking, archery and survival skills. She is a keen cyclist and hill runner. Claire’s biscuits, cakes and puddings are the best. Her particular interest is how learning improves when young people are in a natural environment.

Jonathan Hawkins
Jonathan Hawkins is studying computer science at Bristol University, and in his spare time adventuring all over Europe: climbing, hiking and cycling. Jono is in charge of the Wild Routes infrastructure so that we can keep track of people and projects. His particular interest lies in project organisation to the educational outdoor world.
